Tēnā koutou katoa,
I hope you are well and continuing to navigate your way through these extraordinary and challenging times.
As a key stakeholder of Venues Ōtautahi we would like to thank you for your continued support over these past months.
We are so looking forward to getting back to some semblance of normality and to welcoming the community and our clients back safely and with confidence into the venues.
We thought it was important to share with you some key information in response to the implementation of the Covid-19 Protection Framework and Traffic Light System that relates to all Venues Ōtautahi venues.
As per the Covid-19 Protection Framework, to allow Venues Ōtautahi to deliver events with no restrictions we will be implementing the requirement for vaccination certificates as proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 across all venues from 3 December 2021.
As a business with the best interests of our community at our core we have an obligation to keep everyone in our venues and the community safe and albeit the decision to implement the requirement for anyone in our venues or associated with our venues to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 is out of our hands, it is also the right thing to do.
Proof of vaccination through the use of vaccination certificates will be required from all clients, guests, third party delivery partners, contractors, suppliers, performers, teams and staff and anyone entering or visiting a Venues Ōtautahi venue will be required to have their vaccination certificate sighted or scanned.
As a directive mandated by Central Government this means there are no exemptions from utilising vaccination certificates for events at Venues Ōtautahi venues and anyone not willing or unable to provide proof of vaccination will not be permitted entry to the venue.
Vaccination Certification Process and Access to the Venues
Based on the low health risk given the high community rates of vaccination, we will operate a trust model and will not require proof of identification in addition to proof of vaccination. We will continue to monitor this process and will change our approach if we feel the risk profile changes or any issues arise.
We can also confirm all Venues Ōtautahi staff in roles across the business will be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
We appreciate there is a lot of information to digest but we would appreciate you passing this information on to anyone involved with or connected to a Venues Ōtautahi venue.
If you have any questions relating to any of the above please let us know.
Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you soon.
