Corpus Medicorum is an Australian medical orchestra founded in 2002 by violist and Cardiothoracic Surgeon Phillip Antippa. The orchestra has played to critical acclaim in Melbourne, Slovenia, St Petersburg and Milan performing many of the great master works of the classical music repertoire.
Their Christchurch symphony concert features works by Weber, Elger and Brahms with a solo performance by guest cellist and NZ Young Performer 2021 Catherine Kwak. Keith Crellin is the conductor. Corpus Medicorum has raised over $1 million for charities all over the world. The recipient of this Christchurch concert is the Canterbury Charity Hospital which provides free medical, surgical, dental and counselling services to Cantabrians in need.
